Sherrie String is the founder and President of String Connections. Sherrie formed her company to provide consulting, coaching and support services to organizations looking to develop and leverage their “people” strategies to drive business results. Sherrie brings over 30 years of experience in human capital business strategies and mergers & acquisitions working across multiple dynamic industries to include consumer products, manufacturing, distribution and healthcare.
Sherrie has served as the Chief Human Resources Officer for organizations ranging in size from $1B-$5.5B to include a Fortune 500 organization (Smithfield Foods) and a Fortune 100 Best Place to Work organization (Meridian Health) for five consecutive years. In each role, Sherrie has been able to lead countless HR strategic transformations resulting in new HR structures, dashboards, processes, and systems that improve the effectiveness and performance of the organization while also creating dynamic cultures that drive engagement and outcomes.
Sherrie has both an Undergraduate and Master’s degree from Rutgers University and has served as the Chair of the School of Business, Christopher Newport University and served on the Business Advisory Council at Georgian Court School of Business, she is a certified John Maxwell Coach, Speaker, Trainer and Facilitator, a Physician Development Coach and a Mentor for Everwise.
